Just a Little off the Top

In preparation for the big day, I wanted to get myself gussied up. So Saturday I went for a haircut.
As I have mentioned in previous posts, I have long hair. Very long. And truth be told, I am tad bit tired of it.
So let’s take off a few inches. 12, to be exact.
As it turns out, that’s a lot of hair and seems like a waste to just throw it out. And that’s where Locks of Love comes in.
If you’ve never heard of Locks of Love, here’s a brief rundown –
A public non-profit organization, Locks of Love provides wigs to underprivileged children suffering from hair loss due to medical treatments.
By using donated hair, Locks of Love creates realistic, high quality hairpieces. The wigs they provide offer the children the opportunity to rebuild their self-esteem and confidence.
I kept the locks at about shoulder length. It's a little shorter than I had anticipated and gives it a slightly metrosexual look. But the great thing about hair is that it grows.
[ed. note: it would seem that having twins is maturing me, at least slightly. I resisted several innuendo jokes that contain the phrase 12".]
