Practice Makes Perfect
On the bright side, we are only six short months away from the 2007-2008 preseason opener.
P.Pie and I spent the game at her sister’s house. By halftime, the Colts seemed to have the game in hand and Gunslinger was getting rambunctious. In his defense, for a 2.5 year old, he’s got a good grip on the game.
“Run, run, run! NO! Don’t drop the ball!”
But, as I said, his attention span for the game was waning and he wanted to play. So we went upstairs to play.
After playing a few rousing rounds of Thomas the Tank Engine, I announced that he was the big winner. Our conversation went something like this:
ME: Woo-hoo! You win, Gunslinger!
Gunslinger got a serious look in his eyes, furrowed his brow and shook his head ‘no’ several times.
GUNSLINGER: No, you’re the big winner, Uncle Rob. I’m the little winner.
ME: Well, okay then; you’re the little winner.
GUNSLINGER: And you’re the big winner.
