The Uncomfortables, Continued…
Since the last post, I’ve slept a total four hours.
In 10 minute increments.
Like many of you, we, too, were hoping it was tooth related. But it really didn’t feel like that, so P.Pie took her to the doctor on Wednesday.
Have I mentioned I like our pediatrician?
P.Pie picked our ped (which should be spelled peed for the proper pronounciation) prior to the birth of the twins and she was there during the whole ordeal and was very supportive. She was able to connect with us on a personal level and helped through the super-rough time.
So doc took a look at Squeak using the pointy-stick-in-the-ear light slash magnifying lens thingy; and she pronounced it an ear infection.
In each ear.
We had a choice – wait 48 hours and see if it goes away on its own, or get a prescription now.
The Squeaker was miserable. She cried constantly, couldn’t sleep, and was just plain ol’ miserable. Why would we wait two more days? Rather than put her and us thru that misery, we had the doc write us the ‘script.
Jump to today, Thursday.
P.Pie hadn’t been to work all week, so I stayed home with Squeak, administering medicine every 8 hours. She slept a lot and when she wasn’t sleeping, I was forcing liquids down her throat.
But, by the end of the day she was more like her usual chipper self. And the whole day together was great, even though she was sick.
When P.Pie came home, she pointed out that Squeak couldn’t take her eyes off me. Even as I folded some of the laundry, she looked at me with adoration.
P.Pie said, “Wow, look at her look at you!” Then to Squeaker, “Don’t look so surprised, he does occasionally fold the laundry.”
Yeah, they love me.

Aw! I have been checking back and wondering what was up. Poor thing. I'm glad she's better!
Awww what a good Daddy you are. Good job!
I hope you feel better, Squeaker!
Aww, I hope she keeps getting better, and quickly.
My boys have had the double ear infections, too. No fun. Especially when they spit the medicine out. I hated dealing with liquid medicines.
Someday she'll look at her husband like that when he folds laundry ;) Be sure to set that bar high!
aww I"m so sorry to hear Squeaker has been feeling icky :(
I have just the thing to cheer up a girl--it involves shopping.
