Tuesday Night Activities
As a English major, an avid reader, and a wannabe novel writer, I love hearing writers read their work and answer questions.
Especially my questions.
But this particular author was special; more than just a writer (and that’s saying something). This writer was one of my instructors at the
Teague Bohlen – who has written and published a number of short stories – had his first novel, The Pull of the Earth, published.
Teague (pronounced like beige with a “T”) went out of his way to help me with my writing career.
As a small example, when I was entering my senior year, I needed a writing ‘advisor’ – someone to review my work and keep me on track. Teague, whose student advisor load was already at maximum, added me to his list.
He didn’t need to do it; there were other instructors with openings on their schedule.
I have a ton of stories that are go along a similar vein, but I won't bore you.
Let me just end it by saying he’s basically a great guy. Go out an buy his new book, The Pull of the Earth.
